Is it bad to wear heels during pregnancy?

because i have a fancy occasion to go to and i was wondering if i should wear heels or flat shoes with my dress. if it means anything, im 12 weeks pregnant. and i have heard many things about heels and pregnancy.

Is it bad to wear heels during pregnancy?
I don't think its a bad thing


but it may be uncomfortable if your feet are swelling


I still wear heels and boots but they've become uncomfortable to me lately lol
Reply:I think the biggest worry is falling... you're top heavy, your equilibrium has been thrown off, and so you could lose your balance easily... I wore heels to a wedding when I was 3ish months along, but they were low heels (I think maybe 2 inch heels).
Reply:They do increase your fall risk but this early in pregnancy,they shouldn't hurt your back anymore than they usually do.

Reply:Well I wore heels when i was pregnant and nothing happened, just be careful, so you don't fall.. Although eventually your feet swell up and you may not want to wear heels anymore. I did all the way up until i was 7 mo prego.. Congrats! My baby is now 16m.
Reply:just that your feet swell and the risk of falling. but other then that you should be ok... I wore really high heels till about 4 months pregnant then my feet started hurting to bad and I had no balance
Reply:They aren't bad in themselves, it's just the whole falling thing. Well, that and the increased discomfort.
Reply:Go for it wear the heels....I still wear heels and im 37 weeks, i have to take them off after a few hrs cause myt back hurts but still they looked good while i did. also watch ur step cause ur balance could be off and u dont want to fall.
Reply:i don't think heels are bad but i would be worried about your comfort! go with comfort........you are prego you can do that!
Reply:The reason most women try to avoid them is because they are scared of losing their balance, at 12 weeks you should be fine.
