Long Dresses With Stiletto Heels???

I always thought that stiletto heels doesn not look good with long dresses, its very tacky. I think that long dresses look better with shoes that have medium heels, and stilettos look better with shorter dresses(like the ones a little above the knees).





Well the thing is that my friend and I were invited to a wedding and she wants to wear this long dress,which is absolutely beautiful with stilettos heels, the only problem is that she can't wak in those shoes, and her dress has this long loose part and it gets stuck in the shoes and she has already fallen twice.





Me and the bride (which is also our friend) said that the dress does not match the shoes, but she says that we don't know anything about fashion and we are just ignorant.





By the way the dress is turquoise and the shoes are bright purple, and she says that is does match, even her boyfriend thinks that its ugly.





So should we continue to try to tell her to change the shoes or just let her fall on the day of the wedding??

Tell you friend that you know enough about fashion to know that a turquoise dress and bright purple shoes DO NOT go together and that you don't care what she thinks she knows about fashion. Everybody thinks she looks ridiculous, including the bride and since it is the bride's wedding not HER's she should ditch the shoes for at least a black pair or get a different type of shoe altogether for her sake. If she doesn't listen then, she'll just have to fall on her face and be subject to stares and laughter on your other friends wedding day
Reply:Maybe you should buy her some shoes that she can walk in, that match the dress, and a are WAY cuter than the stilleto heels. So she'll decide to wear them, but you HAVE to make sure they're way cuter than those one she has. Take her to a huge-variety shoe store with you, and you buys shoes, and see what shoes she thinks are cute, because every girl gives their opinion or at least tries on shoes while going to the shoe store, and keep on asking her about shoes that you think will match the dress, and some you think she will like, except dont' make it oblivious that you're going to get her some. Either that or if she already has shoes of her own taht would match, just try and talk it out with her, if she does end up wearing them, jsut pray she wont' trip, and wedding's aren't forever. Your'e not going to stop being friends with ehr becaus eof this anyway, so just see what you think is best to do.

Reply:better change the shoes. falling is embarassing 4 all. besides since the dress has a long tail part, no 1 can c the shoes heels.
Reply:as bad as it is that she called you ignorant and had no fashion sense, i would talk her out of the shoes. shes going to make a fool of herself and is going to scar her for life. be a good friend and find a way to tell her that she needs to find different shoes





have her wear some strappy mettallic gold sandals (grecian) instead of stilletos (blech!!)

Reply:You can wear stiletto heels with a long dress as long as the dress is long enough to cover most of the shoe. It is in style now to wear colors that aren't so matchy matchy... BUT if she is going to bust her ***, whether she is wearing something cute or not, she will not be in style! She is an adult (im assuming) so she can wear whatever she wants to wear and you all should drop it.
