i plan on wearing a pair of comfy shoes..
which will probably be a pair of sandlas or flip flops..
the way i see it no one is going to be seeing my feet anyways.. as my dress is long enough to cover my toes..
so screw wearing some uncomfortable shoe all day :)
I might take them off for that garder deal.. and just go barefoot for awhile :)
Did you or anyone you know wear "wedding tennis shoes" instead of heels?
Its your wedding you can wear anything you want. In matter of fact you can decorate your own tennis shoes. I saw them on line a year ago when I was planning for my own wedding. You can even buy them on line if you wanted too.Just try to search it on line. Its like white tennis shoes that is decorated with silver glitters and stuff like that. If you are getting marry congrats!
*also at the reception you can wear 3" white flip flops under your wedding dress. That is what I did and noone could see them.
Reply:i wore heels for the actual service but when i got to the reception i changed into slippers so i would feel more comfortable on my feet all day
Reply:I also know someone that was married barefoot. They had size 10ft in womans and couldn't find shoes that were low but matched and didn't kill her feet. Noone noticed because she had a long dress.
I do know someone that wore "wedding tennis shoes" instead of heals but they also had a tennis themed wedding.
Another bride I know wore brightly colored air force 1's by nike with her wedding dress and it honestly didn't look bad, because of the accessories and theme she had.
Reply:It's your wedding and you deserve to be comfortable. I hardly think anyone will notice or say anything. My sister-in-law got married bare footed because she couldn't find anything to match her dress. As long as you're comfortable, that's all that matters! Congrats on the wedding too!
Reply:I had "wedding flip-flops"! I did however run into a pair of adorable shoes that I had to buy but I only wore them for about an hour. I told my entire bridal party that they could all just wear a pair of flip-flops! I had a nice big beautiful wedding but wanted to keep it real at the same time. If you are not comfy you will regret it! It's your day sweetheart, you make all the rules and you better take advantage of that because how often do you get to do that! Congrats! And go ahead and wear whatever you want, just not old beat up ones (people will see them when he takes the garter off your leg)
Reply:At the wedding ceremony, I wore the rented shoes that came with the tux. They were extremely uncomfortable for me as I have a size 10 EEE foot and had to get an 11 1/2 so they would fit, as they didn't come in different widths. After the ceremony %26amp; pictures, I changed into white Nikes for the reception and had a blast dancing all night with my new bride. Go with what you want, it's your wedding.
Reply:My best friends wife did and I was upset that I didn't when I got married. It's a great idea, go for it!
Reply:I'd say wearing plain white shoes of any kind (be they tennis shoes, flip flops, or even fuzzy, comfy, slippers) is perfectly fine as they'll very likely be hidden by your dress the entire time. Even if they are able to be seen under your dress, it's doubtful that if they're the same color as your dress that anyone will notice -- they'll be too busy looking at your beautiful smiling face and your dress the entire time!
I'll be wearing sparkly white slippers for my entire wedding and reception, and if there's anybody who doesn't like it, I'll be happy to show them the door. It's mine and my fiance's wedding, and both of us love the idea a lot better than we like the idea of me wearing uncomfortable shoes for hours. Unfortunately, he's resigned to wearing regular dress shoes, but he says he's fine with that as the ones he'll be wearing for the event are strangely comfortable anyway. :)
