I am wearing a 3/4 length black dress to my Junior prom. What stocking and heels Combo do you think is best.?

I am also wearing my black garterbelt, and I have two choices of stockings, but you need pumps with one kind and can wear open sandal's with the other.





1. I have some ultra sheer sandalfoot stockings sooo sheer they can be worn with an open strappy 3 1/2 heel sandal shoe.





2. I have some ultra sheer seamed stockings, but there is a little darkness on the toe so I would have to wear my 3 1/2 pumps, but they are really low on the sides and come up in the heel and really look neat with the seams. What would you wear?

I would go with the seamed stockings. They are sexier(especially with the garter belt)...and the pumps are trendy this season. Um..you go girl!!!

Reply:I think pumps look a lot nicer than open toed shoes, I think that pumps are more appropriate for a formal occasion, but that's just me.
Reply:Ditch the hose. if you got hairy legs shave them. Oil those legs and paint those toes and you b starring. Look at the celebs they don't wear hose with those evening gowns
Reply:I would prefer the pumps over any sandal. As for the hose the seams just give it a very sexy look. As other have told you don't just buy cheap stockings, maybe sure they are good. I know your under 18 but let me tell you i know alot of girls go bare legged these days and with flipflops. But boy to I wish i was in school again, I would actually ask you to be my date if i was there. Sounds great enjoy your prom...

Reply:This really depends upon the style of your dress and the weather you live in. If you are in the north where it's still a bit cold, closed toe. If where you are is a bit warmer, go with open toe shoes as it will emphasize the time of year. It all comes down to the shoes - the stockings will follow suit from there.

Reply:If you are wearing a garterbelt to your junior prom, you may as well go with the seamed stockings, and pumps. Its a little sophisticated for a HS junior, but it sounds like know how to make it work. Be careful if your doing the seams to get the really sheer kind of stocking, because the cheaper ones can look nasty especially in black. Thats why so many people are into the bare leg thing, they are used to the nasty cheap hosiery you get in the supermarket.

Reply:Both sound awesome to me, so don't bother yourself with the "stockings are out bunch". They are last years news, especially for dressy events. These people seem to think shaving legs is an event, and where I come from we do it every day or two.





If its really hot like Airazona or Miami, wear the sandals and seemless stockings. If it's regular June weather and you are sure you can pull it off, wear the pumps and seamed stockings.
Reply:I wish I knew what you know when I was a junior. My boyfriend just got me my first garterbelt this week and I'm 21. I would say that unless you live where its 95% in June go with the pumps and seams, if you know how to wear them, and it sounds like you do. Good luck
Reply:Either one is great, but I like the seams unless it's really warm where you are. For all the barelegged bimbos duds responding, just back to the trailer park and sip on a beer, you haven't a clue. Not all stockings are grannyhose from Walmart the nice ones cost more than your shirt, and they are very sophisticated.





Stockings are in this year, especially with garter belts, and you are definately with it.





PS I'm wearing almost the same thing to my Sr Prom.
Reply:I'm a little shy so I would probably actually go with the pumps and seamless stockings in sheer black. I would be afraid of the attention the seams may get. Pumps are way more classy than open heels.
Reply:I would not wear any stockings because they are really outdate for prom. I would just do strappy sandals.
