How do you stop the heel of a shoe from sliding?

When I put on a certain pair of high heels, the heel slides with every step. It feels like the heel is going to snap off. How do I stop the heel from sliding?

Footpetals sells those grip pads that you can stick on the bottom of the heels so you won't slide even in rainy weather.Alternatively sandpaper the bottom,or please choose heels that are ridged so that you won't have a chance of falling and spraining your ankle!
Reply:I always use a knife to score the bottom of a slippery shoe, take the knife and run it across north to south then run it across east to west to create a non-skid surface and you should be good to go!
