Strange question: my right foot/toes have lost feeling b/c of wearing pointed high heels?

Yesterday I was standing for about 20 minutes in very pointed high-heeled shoes. I was putting all of my weight on my right leg because I was holding my 17 month old daughter the whole time (she weighs like 28 pounds). Since then, my toes and ball of my feet (where the pointed part was) have a "numb feeling to them. Is this normal?!?

Strange question: my right foot/toes have lost feeling b/c of wearing pointed high heels?
Yes. Between the 'point' squeezing your toes together and the height of the shoe, your weight would be concentrated onto the nerve(s) that run under the bones at the ball of your foot... causing numbness. try a lower heeled version, or add gel insoles before wearing them again. and if the numbness continues, mention it to your doctor.
Reply:yes, it is normal. Especially if you've remained in that position for a long time
Reply:well i'm not sure but it sounds like you need to go to a podiatrist (if thats how you spell it??) maybe they'll have the answer
Reply:sounds like its normal...pressure/time

sry abt that.......i hope you put ur body weight on ur heels when u r wearing heels and not carrying any extra weight.....
Reply:first of all get out of the high heels,, you dont need them,

second of all you dont need to carry your daughter on your hip thats wat strollers are for, or let her crawl or walk or even sit down.

I m sorry if it is harsh but being a shoe repairests daughter i have seen so many shoes and mothers saying that their back is out bc of high heels and it makes me mad. If you still have numbness there after you change your shoes to flats go see a doctor about your feet but please stay away from heels and pointed shoes as it wreaks you feet and gives you bunions trust me i have them and they are not pretty. Hopes this helps,
