It won't work. The shape/angle of the shoe is designed around the height of the heel. Change one and you have to change the other. It is not easy to alter the angle of the shoe.

Solution is to wear them around the house and get used to them or if they are work shoes, walk to work in a pair of low heels/flats and change into the high heels when you get there.
Reply:Yeah I wouldn't do it. It really messes with the quality of the shoe.
Reply:I've had it done but it doesn't seem as good as buying them new.
Reply:dont do it, it will take the form of the shoe off balance.
Reply:I have not hade the heel of my shoe cut by a perffesional because i dont wear high-heals a lot
Reply:I've never heard of this being done but you might want to be careful doing this.

The heel is made to be in proportion with the arch of the shoe. If you cut off too much your shoe might curl up on you and you'd have elf feet and sore calves.

I'd look into a few different shoe repair places to see what they say.
Reply:No, but my wife had it done by a dude who works at the cannery, who does it "on the side".
